Teen Court/Municipal Court

The judges and clerks of the Lewisville Municipal Court are committed to serving the public by providing a fair

and efficient system of justice that fosters public trust and confidence. We work toward accomplishing this mission

by continually improving the facilities, programs, and services provided to the citizens of Lewisville.

A Municipal Court is the city’s local court that handles Class C misdemeanors and city ordinance violations that occur within the city limits. These include traffic tickets, school zone and seatbelt violations, code enforcement issues, and certain juvenile offenses.

Our goal is to promote public safety, accountability, and fairness. Individuals may appear before a judge, request options such as payment plans, driving safety courses, deferred disposition, Teen Court, or community service, and get clear information about resolving their case.
